actually, there is a good reason they don't use K&N airfilters... the oil used can mess up AFM's not to mention a normal paper element protects FAR better then anything else... Headers aren't cost effective, even so, they use a tubualr manifold on the corvettes that is VERY hard to improve...

It's a REALLY shitty job to do, it took hours to get mine "close enough" Not until I replaced the targa seals did it ever shut up as the seals will eventually stick in the position the window was in, move the window and it won't seal anymore...

wrong side of the turbo to effect the whole boost pressure/flow issue... Did you do anything else? Check for leaks and reset your boost controller, it might have been bumped or something...

do NOT overtighten though... it's 24 INCH lbs, not 24 FOOT lbs... That is the reason they used the screws instead of a normal bolt, so people wouldn't overtighten...

Do NOT gasket match the head, it's supposed to be a bit smaller to stop reversion from the blockage in the exhaust (the turbo). The manifold itself you can pretty much go to town on, but keep in mind cast iron is very hard and dirty... The nubs around where the studs are are pretty obvious...

+1 Yes, the stock system is VERY durable compared to most systems. No points, no distributor caps to replace, nothing. The coils do crack with age (but come on, most cars have the ORIGINAL coils, not many cars can attest to that), and the wiring can go bad for the CPS, coils, and plugs...
