My front subframe was VERY loose, break out the torque wrench and get to work! The steering rack moving is common as oil tends to break down the rubber bushings that hold the rack in place...

Yeeeep, toyota's crush washer design sucks... I sheered 3 teeth off the pinion gear on my truck (had 4.11's stock, 31" tires, and a low range that broke the motor mounts...twice), and the damn thing still drove fine, just made TONS of noise...

Hey, that's why you pressurize the system to make sure nothing leaks! Better than it doing it while on the test drive. Will a stock fan shroud work on the 2J's? Kind of a pet peeve of mine, I don't like exposed fans (safety issues, plus they don't work as well)

The housing isn't really hard in theory... it's one large bango style bolt. The issue is it's usually tight as hell, so a breaker bar is required. Hell, once the housing was off I'd pop the bastard in my drum of carb cleaner as it would eat the rubber right out, plus clean all the gunk...

Mine actually was riding right on the crossmember for the tranny... TONS of vibration, so I put a strategic dent in it so it doesn't touch to solve it... Can't get any more tucked up than that, maybe if you went with oval piping...

The place where scavenging does the most work is in the collector on the header... 3" on an N/A isn't going to hurt too bad, maybe a bit bad ont he bottom end, but I wonder what the turbo cam would do to the powerband with that kind of airflow... Plus the far larger amounts of 3" exhaust...
