I read that one on SF also... didn't find what I needed. basically want a T4 turbine housing with that would mate up with existing stock elbow. I actually am getting one of those SS elbow/downpipes and want to be able to just use it with this set up.

Sounds like you have a plan... If you ARE sure that the leak is at the pan, then go for it now (I had a mystery leak and knew it wasn't the pan). The oilpump is about 5"-7" or so... I can measure it when I get home tonight. I am in the middle of a rebuild and just dropped off the head and...

I still vote to pull the motor/tranny... You will need the same equipment either way (engine hoist, etc.), but you will be able to get to more, easier, and be more sure that you "sealed/installed" the pan correctly. And, like it's been said... between 2 ppl, you can easily pull in less than...

What gasket maker stuff is recommended (GrimJack)? I hear alot about it, but not any name brand or if it's the Toyota FIPG stuff (which I never heard of leaking)... I got one of those cork gaskets with my rebuild kit, but wouldn't recommend using it on our Sups. They are easy enuff to...

Very kewl.... Now... Why is it that only that 1 rivet gets removed? Will the others "crush" into place and allow the gasket to fully seal/seat? Also, I've heard different methods used for installing. What is the real-deal for using the copper spray stuff? Is that only when you re-use...

Here's the Cometic I received. There are maybe 5 rivets tho, I understood that there'd only be one that would be necessary to remove. Should I remove them all?
