The little elbow line on the front of the manifold is where the stock vaccum source is. It's just routed around to look pretty. Lines could be clogged...
Dunno why I keep hearing people talk aobut loss of low end power with exhaust. Boost = torque, sppol faster and you get torque quicker. I come on boost just over 2K RPM's and by 3 I'm in it pretty deep.
Why you won't have the instant torque response down low of a huge displacement engine...

Make sure you go to the bottom and change it to show threads from the beginning to see all the threads.
There isn't much you can do that wouldn't possibly endanger your engine.
You could try drilling out the hole and backing the screw out all the way on the AFM, it might help and i don't think you'll go lean enough to hurt anything...

Depends a lot on how much you drive as well. The water is the reason short trips are bad for your oil as the oil doesn't get hot enough to boil the water off (that mixes with other combustion gasses and makes acid)
