    NEED HELP!Headlight problems.

When my HID's worked (long story) the high beam indicator on the dash didn't work, but the lights worked fine.

    removing ABS

Lock a tire up and it's no longer slowing you down effectively... I can count quite a few cars on these forums that if they had ABS wouldn't have been wrecked. Suspect ABS failure from that car? You do realise that isn't the same ABS system we run, right?

    Crabby brakes!

The calipers float on two slides, one each at the top and bottom of the caliper. The top one is a blind hole and the slide is attached to the bracket, the lower one flaots in the caliper and the mounting bolt goes through it. People service the brakes, fuck up the boots, water gets in, and...

Oil pump drive shaft bearings and hot tanking

Hot tanking is done with acid that will eat the bearings, that's why they need to be replaced and then sized (royal PITA). Can be cleaned with a sonic cleaner and it won't eat the bearings IIRC...

    Oil Pressure on my 7M-GTE

Stock gauge IS accurate, it just doesn't have as many lines to tell exactly what the pressure is and it's dampened so it doesn't react as fast...

    2010 mustang revealed

That new vette concept looks like an LFA and vette had a bastard son... Putting the wheels at the extreme corners can make the car too long, RUINING handling. It's why they do it on small cars and not so much on larger cars.

    removing ABS

If you get junkyard lines, make sure to flush them really well. On a side note, you never feel ABS unless you need it in our cars, so it's a bad excuse... Trying real hard not to be a dick, but I've been in all kinds of cars with and without ABS, and ours is VERY good and only steps in...

    bushings

Stock bushings aren't that expensive actually... BUT, some aren't available without buying the entire supsension piece. Also, the ball bushings are built more like ball joints that's why they knock around when they wear. Poly bushings are fine for a street car (ask IJ as he drives his...

No reason to remove it on a race car... or did you miss what figgie wrote? On a full out drag car where I was trying to drop weight on the car I can see it.

    Cleaning up the CT26

That's wrong. CT26's shaft is actually larger than the normal garrett shaft (this is why the garrett wheels need to be bored out to fit on the CT's shaft), it's the larger wheel in the small compressor housing that causes surge and destroys the turbo. 57 trim is reliable, especially for...
