Couple facts:
- Stock setup has a drain...we have a factory alarm.
- Tiny batteries are made for motorcycles, not for old cars that might not start, or with a stereo system.
- Relocation of a battery is dumb on several levels. Namely because we're a hack back car and the trunk isn't...
Ah, that's no biggy, would just be a vacuum leak.
Now, on to your other questions:
- First gear is ALWAYS a bitch to downshift to on Toyota trannies and it has a strong lockout, you have to rev match to get it in.
- Second gear syncro seems to take the most abuse, the Redline MT-90 will...
If he needs brakes now, it's not going to help much...
Powerslots are brembos that have been machined and plated. They're fine and you can probably get a better deal through A2motorsports (one of the forum sponsors).

Heat moves from where it's hot ot where it's not as hot. Rotor doesn't have enough mass, it overheats causing the heat to get into the pad and caliper then into the brake fluid.
The sytem is just too small for the car in hard driving...
Damn, should have gone with samco radiator hoses :D
Good going with the valvestem seal replacement, when they leak they make a nasty mess with 4 valves per cylinder...
Use copper spray on the headgasket to help seal the HG as it'a OK to use on the stocker. I had a piece of granite...
Cutting stock springs is a better idea than some of the junk springs on the market...
Most springs are made to lower the car, nothing more. You can get the same affest with bilstein shocks...
*walks outside and looks at car*
Yep, stock springs and stock size wheels/tires, still not jacked up that high. His rear is much lower than the front, something isn't right hence my comment on no engine.
