Seems that the general opinion is against drifting on this board...
Personally I go sideways only when needed, and I will say I dislike most of the drifter "mods"
Up to you... I went with a high flow metal core as it's not as fragile as the ceramic ones. If your stocker isn't clogged, run it.
That alone might quiet it down enough.
Wouldn't make a difference much like painting the back of a mirror (hint: back of a mirror is silver plated then painted to protect the silver)
You'll have to cover the large holes in the piece behind the center lense unless your car is black (or the body color will show through the lense)...
If you're N/A, go with smaller piping and get more mufflers...
The turbo acts as a muffler by itself, it's why you can get away with a straight pipe on a turbo car to some extent...
My bro's MKII with alsmot the same exact setup as mine but with smaller piping is much louder than mine. If...
Need pics of the cams.
For the most part it's normal as the steel cam wears on the aluminum and builds up material and then the wear stops. Was the engine recently rebuilt with head work?
If you can machine up the SST to install them it's not nearly as hard to get them in, but you still have to line them up with the oil holes.
TSRM has the instructions...
Nope, just seperated the lense (it pops off, just have to be careful with the tabs) and removed the paint. The part behind the lense is black like the other lenses so it matches and has the same depth to the color (even the JDM's look off color depending on the light).
I didn't get all the...
Have to either size the shaft or the bearings. Did I mention the bearings are a bitch to install? Have to get the oil holes aligned, get em square in the bore, ect... Overall it's one of those things that if they fuck up the engine will suffer a bad failure...
/facepalm
Run a cat (unless you're running leaded gas there is no reason not to run one), get a good resonator and muffler and be done.
I love my Raptor Racing exhaust, 3" metal core spun cat and 3" exhaust with resonator and modified magnaflow muffler. It's quieter than the crap that was...
USDM tails with silver paint removed from center section (see pic of my car below). JDM has a tinted diffuser layer (the lense itself is the same color) and the center section has gunmetal paint on the back.
