Easy(ish) way to confirm would be to bypass the heater core completely.
To do that easy/quick, you disconnect the lines/pipes that go to the heater core and either cap them off or loop them together. If it goes away, then get ready for dash-diving :(
edit: hmm, just disconnecting the...
My current injectors are 720's but they are tapped out at ~450 right now, so I'm going for 1350's from FIC. Not sure if my mk4TT pump is maxed out as well, but I'll be upping that at the same time (likely 2 of them).
I have seen fuel pumps running out of flow on 2 GE-T vehicles...usually between 3-4k rpm. The 2 ways I have fixed them would be:
1- Short term fix: is to disable the fuel pump resistor by bypassing it. (Makes the pump run off of 12v all the time)
2- Long-term fix: is to replace the fuel pump...
My Cometic suggested 50RA or better, but I have seen beautiful machine work done (all the way to 15-20) when a friend put a Stopper on his 7M (Mr. Yuk).
I haven't wired in a shift light myself, but I'm pretty sure you can configure one of the outputs in the AEM software.
You may also be able to tap into the wiring harness (Diag box) for an RPM signal.
Well, hi there!
Your build looks to be coming along quite nicely! For the ignition system, I suggest what I am running (also using an AEM). I am using a Lexus IS300 ignition system. (The DH61 ignitor and the VVTI 2JZ-GE ignition coils) It has been working quite well for me and from what I had...
2nd AFM is just for airflow consistency/halving- it won't even be plugged in. He's trying to get exactly 1/2 the normal flowso he can run double-sized injectors!
Very interesting idea, too!
Oh, those small woodland animals will crawl into any tight little spot they can. It's even better when they get stuck in the blower motor and go for the last tilt-a-whirl ride of their lives :/
You will hate parking w/o power steering....
Really all you have to do is disconnect the belt to the pump, as most leaks are on the high pressure side of the system.
If you want to save weight, you can pull the pump and lines, but you will need to connect the feed and return ports on the rack...
I work at a Toyota Dealer and a lot of the complaints we get from customers are just downright funny, but then again some of the problems they actually have are equally as entertaining!
Take this one: Today we get a 01 Camry towed in because the engine is redlining as soon as you start it...
