I'll take some pictures of what I just did a couple nights ago. I think IJ did the same thing, but idk. Basically you can take the bumper reinforcement out and chop it up slightly. It opens up airflow to the rest of the intercooler pretty well imo.

Chasss has 197,000, and the motor was built at 195,000. 91 Turbo 5-speed :)

But it will outhandle a lot of cars when not driving in a straight line... but then again, the C4 Rob has will likely do very well on an autocross track too.

So far so good, I'm working on the air cleaner now- trying to make it suck in cool/cold air rather than pre-heated radiator air. When I was on the dyno I dropped 5deg intake temp and picked up 2hp by blocking some of the hot air with a plastic folder, so this should work much better. Also...

If the ticking is caused by excessive valve clearance, then yes. Lots of things an cause a tick in the engine (injectors, piston slap, rod bearing clearance, valve clearance, oil pump driveshaft thrust play, etc). Finding which one it is is the tough part.

That would be me. Not trying to prove anything, just trying to figure out why there was a miss (ECU).
