I think you probably have two issues. Has the car always done this or just since you did your mods?
At the beginning of your vid, it almost sounded like the notorious CPS wire problem. I'd give it the 'CPS Wire Shake' and see if that helps.
BTW: Fan Shrouds are your friend! :)
My ratchet wrenches are the first thing I grab. I love em!!
Why not just remove the three bolts at the bottom of the elbow? Soak them with WD40 on a Friday evening, turn on them Saturday Morning, and then go inside for some eggs, bacon, and pancakes after the exhaust is sitting on the...
Ok. I went to Walmart and they had it. It was in the 'Car Audio' section; but, it wasn't by itself. You have to buy a kit to get it. The kit was $6.80 if I remember right.
So, everyone off to Walmart then??? :D
Sweet! I hope to see more using it too! :)
Yeah, I try to go home at least twice a year to visit family. Meeting up with some Crescent City Coon-asses would be awesome! I'll let you know when I plan to head back that way. As of now it looks like April.
Man I miss the food!
I fixed the sunspot on the door, took out a lot of the yellow (it was a bit on the warm side), and took out the cyan and blue overtones from the shadow and on the wheels. I also brightened it about as much as possible with it being a low res pic.
It's a good pic. The angle is nice and so is...
Thanks Shaeff! I got the font a loaded it up!
Don't worry. I'm picky too! (uh oh...is that going to be your new Pokemon name!?!? :biglaugh:)
Here's a version JUST for you! :D
I'd be glad to. The MK4 font is EVERYWHERE! Even on the floor mats of my MK3! :biglaugh:
Call me new; but, I can't seem to find the font you speak of. Can you hold my hand on this one and lead me to it? ;)
It can't. I was just listing all of the first thoughts brought up in the beginning. ;)
Yeah, I'm going to start with the Valve Cover Gaskets, then wipe it all clean as suggested, and hopefully be leak free!!! :)
Holy Anti-Gravital-Oil Batman!! :D
Yeah, it could be that! Maybe some gaskets for the Hex Bolts are in order. I'll start with a set of valve cover gaskets and go from there.
I'm just glad to find out that it can't possibly be the EGR Cooler gasket. That would NOT be fun to replace...
Ok. I rubbed my hand on top of the EGR Cooler where the valve cover and head come together and got very little oil on my hand. As soon as I rubbed the EGR Cooler plate and the bottom of the plate, my had got covered with oil. There are no visible leaks at the back of the valve cover; but, as...
I upgraded to Hex Bolts with lock washers loooooong ago. ;)
So far everyone agrees on the following:
Valve Cover Gaskets
Cam Seals
Head Gasket
Now the last one is a concern to me. I just upgraded to an MHG so there might be something to that one; but, could a leaking HG leak enough...
Yeah, that's kinda what mine is doing. The spots on the garage floor are right where you would think the rear main is leaking. I just replaced the clutch and flywheel. When I had the tranny out, I saw drops of oil coming off the EGR Cooler Plate.
I suppose it could be one of the cam seals...
Hi guys! As some may remember, I just got done with a BHG repair. Now there is a pretty substantial oil leak and it's coming from the EGR cooler.
Questions:
Will a BHG (happened at WOT) blow out the EGR cooler gasket and it's simply that? Or am I looking at a bigger problem?
Does oil...
