The question is, would A relocated filter with no cooler be better or equal to the stock system with oil cooler? The car all ready has the shimmed pump and If I would be ok running no cooler, I would like to run a thermostatic one later as an addition to the relocation.
Since I needed my car on the road yesterday, and have a leak between the block and relocation bracket for the oil filter (turbo). Since the NA models don't use this bracket and just screw the filter on the stud, would it seems correct to assume an O-ring for an NA oil filter would match the one...
Well I know its not a 2 stage, because my nose header has the signs of the CC failing:
(Dirty car)
However the rear looks like:
What options do I have?
As was stated a CC on top of the buffing wont help, So how close of a match will a one stage paint be?
Can a 1 stage be...
I thought It was too, my nose is starting to do that. However this is not what the rear looks like. The rear is just an overall dull like a one stage paint would become. If I were to remove the oxidation with a Da or wetsand, would the paint be in a good enough condition to hold a clear coat, or...
Ive got what looks like the rear bumper having an oxidation occuring on the paint. Is the bumper painted with a one stage paint? Or is this the clear coat failing? Anyone corrected this paint with something less drastic than a repaint?...car is an 87...
...haha almost looks like the right lane was the stock time for your reference...Keep up the good work and we'll surely see you in the 10's before we know it
Well then ill do the compression test, just hit 1000 miles on motor, and the coolant presure test, and perhaps to be safe, ill see about the chemical test for the coolant to see if CC/oil particulates are getting in there..
I was thinking I could just drill and tap it for a brass 1/8 fitting to barb in the mean time. The gauge just never went above horizontal. IIRC The radiator cap is 11lbs? Correct? How warm would the fluid have to get and then cool to before it would start sucking in air? Would it be possible its...
I know I need to go and do a block test and pressure test it to eliminate all possibilities.
With that said, the car doesnt over heat, but If its driven over 30 miles, it will start to spit the boiling coolant into the birdcage. Temp sensor reads a line or two below horizontal.
Aside from the...
Nice! pretty much what I want right now. I wouldnt want to spend a ton on it because its something that will be useless when and if I still decide to go ffim..
Anyone know if any of our vendors sell a 1 piece intercooler pipe from TB to the fender pipe in the same routing as stock? This whole 10 couplers for 3 feet of pipe thing is pissing me off...
My car at the time of financing was about 25% my income. It was however 50% my bills and now that my finances have been rearranged it ha become clear that I should have been more in porportion to the rest of my bills and lifestyle.
I was in the same situation, an I financed a toy to play with while I rebuilt the supra. I financed the car and was ok, abeit a little stretched with the payments. Then life happened and the payments just suck to have to live with. The worst part was that I purchased the car at close to factory...
