    GrimJack's latest build project

The monsoon ended, and the sun actually peeked through for a couple hours. So naturally I went back outside, scrunched down on the wet aggregate driveway, and got some more work done. :) Installed the fancy new CPS cover from ARZ, too. That thing is just plain AWESOME. Check out the total...

    GrimJack's latest build project

Well, no pictures today. All the work accomplished was under the car, and taking photos under there is... well, not a trivial task. ;) I did get some stuff done before the monsoon hit, basically hooked up everything underneath from the transmission back - ground wire, driveshaft, clutch slave...

alignment tool...you didnt answer my question and closed my thread

Do you have a W series transmission? The R154 doesn't need a tool, both the pressure plate and the disc slide onto the transmission input shaft. The input shaft does all the centering automagically. I have yet to use a centering tool on an R154, and reinstallation has yet to be a problem.

    As Requested: MaftPro Install writeup

I know what the theory is behind the HAC mod... cut the circuitboard trace between the internal HAC and the main chip, then solder some wires to each end and run them outside the casing. I haven't pulled my ECU apart, and after that I'm assuming some tedious googling to find which module is a...

Can anyone do pull this off?

Tanya, you have FAR too much time on your hands. That's a fantastic job, though, despite the reflections on the car, which, admittedly, would be a tin plated bitch to motion blur! :)

To DDP or Not to DDP?

I don't think we've had a single incident of one breaking yet. I haven't heard of one, that's for sure. Furthermore, it's only a new idea for the Supras - people have been using it forever on other turbo cars, and I haven't heard of any problems from them, either.

To DDP or Not to DDP?

Go DDP. The sound hasn't bothered me yet, and I have had one for a long time. It's actually nice and quiet as long as you have the restraint to keep your foot off the gas. For those suffering from boost creep... just buy a boost controller and set the thing for higher than you creep to. :)...

    Cygnus site missing parts pricing?

I'm assuming the pricey one is for the harmonic balancer. At that cost, I'm awfully tempted to pick up an aftermarket ATI instead, it's only a few extra dollars.

I bought Toyota for those too. I only used the gaskets for intake, exhaust, and a bunch of the little carboard ones. Oh, and the bolt seals for the valve covers.
