I think thats a good bet. Having the full face disc will give you a smoother engagement thus making it easier to drive. You wont be making over 400 ftlb with those mods and this clutch will hold atleast that.
I say you would be safe to go with the "stage 3" ACT clutch kit. Make sure you go with...
Drift motion sells ACT clutches. I like mine ALOT.
I am running the ACT extreme clutch kit (stage 4 as they call it). I had never owned a manual car before my supra and basically learned to daily drive a manual car with this clutch. The engagement in the clutch isnt really aggressive but it does...
I wasnt a fan of my 3.73 last year, it felt like I never had to shift. I mean thats good for a daily but I feel as if the 3.909 will give me a little snappier feel on the street.
I plan to keep the 3.73 and maybe run it later when I am putting down more power. Right now I am just on stock twins.
I had just thought about doing the same thing except I was going to go from a 3.73 to a 4.30 and decided that it would be way to short and that going with a 3.909 was my best bet.
I suggest swapping it out and going with a 3.909...
The friction disc and pressure plate are transmission specific, however the flywheel is both transmission as well as engine specific. For example, a flywheel used in a W58 and 7M combination will not work with a W58 and 1JZ combination. However a pressure plate or friction disc made for the W58...
I think this is a great idea. If we could get some solid information going we could possibly start something thats "sticky" worthy.
I have always thought about going with a 1.5J but the lack on information has been one of the main facts that has stopped me.
I know the previous owner of this car and I am sure he would LOVE to see this thing back on the road and running. Going with a 1.5J is a great idea! I would normally say just go with the 2J and ditch the 1J all together but considering you have cams, single setup and the works it would make more...
Hello.
Just a simple, hopefully straight forward question. Are there any other vehicles out there that have a limited slip differential that can be directly swapped over into the MK3 without any modification/serious modification?
I ask this because I want to find an after market...
I drove my megan track series coils for a total of 14000 km or 8700 miles. The Right front coil is COMPLETELY blown out. I will never buy another set of these again.
I am not putting these down, they are s great price for what you get. Thats if they last. Some people have only ever said great...
Alright sounds like ill be pulling it all apart this winter.
Might as well do a full rebuild with the marlin shifter fork, thrust washer and bearing retainer. I already have the shifter socket and shifter bushing.
It will be nice to have a transmission that shifts smooth.
Thanks for the input.
