All I can say is that I feel privileged to be in the same state as three of those supras! And fairly close to the Duane's! ;)
Very...very...very nice!! I hope mine will be of that caliber some day! :)
Something else to keep in mind is that you'll want to stay out of heavy boost (or boost at all for that matter) for five complete heat cycles. Then retorque the head.
Ok. I only had time to switch out coil packs. It does seem to edle a hair better so we'll give that a dance tomorrow and see what she does.
Earlier today I was able to log a couple of runs using the maft pro. This is new to me; but, my afr's didn't seem very stable. It oscillated except...
Yep. Pull the EFI fuse and crank the engine till you see oil pressure. Let your starter cool for a couple of minutes then do it again. After that, fire it up.
That's what I do anyway... :)
When my 57 Trim arrived there was no shaft play.
If I remember right, the TSRM states that a little in and out shaft play isn't a problem. Who did your upgrade?
Yeah, thanks!
I just installed a CPS that passed inspections according to the TSRM; but, it could definitely be wiring. That is a common problem. I'll look into that and I also have a set of iridiums I could temporarily put in to see if that changes anything.
I suppose anything is possible; but, I not likely since I just repaired one of those about 4k miles ago.
I'll try to get a long overdue compression and leak down test done tomorrow.
I JUST put my 550's in and didn't completely remove the tb. I left the two hoses on the bottom connected and just moved it out of the way when needed. I also didn't remove what he's calling the "valve". For what that's worth...
Either way, it's a good write up for you to follow.
I have checked for codes and there are none. I have checked for vac leaks and haven't found any. New plugs gapped at .030. Set of used plug wires that ohm'd out good when installed two months ago.
At idle the miss/hesitation is somewhat evident. At a constant 3k rpm in neutral, it's more...
Well, I took her out for a little run and guess what...I hit fuel cut at 15psi. After that, my clutch gave up the ghost. She just aint holding. So, no more fun for me until I get the new clutch in. :(
Did it not have Texas plates...?!
If not, then whoa...all the fumes from the supras in front me on the way down must've knocked me loopeeeeeeeeeeeeeee... :biglaugh:
Ok. The 550's are in and no leaks!
I took it or a ride today and turned up the boost to 15 psi. I haven't tuned yet so she's running really fat. 10.2 afr! Time to lean her out! :D
I'll try to get a few runs in before bedtime...
