Here are a few new pics. These include shots of the newly installed Polished T-Stat Housing and Temp Gauge. The T-Stat Housing is in it's typical location. ;) The gauge is next to the left Head Light. The last pic is a shot of the current underhood setup.

MEET: October 17th on the East Side

Well, a few of us showed up. We met at Columbia Park then headed for Shari's. Let me tell ya it was a fun drive there. Ann (the 89T Targa) lead the way and she was hard to keep up with. She drives that Supra let me tell ya. After quick lane changes, hard cornering, and nearly doubling the...

The T-Stat housing was a spare that I polished. I'm not the greatest polisher type guy; but, I found it to be pretty easy. Valve covers are next! :) 1. I got it from work. It barely holds that Mini-9. And I mean BARELY! 2. Educate me brutha! ;)

    Congrats Sean, 214.9MPH Standing Mile

Brake Check!!! We're not way off base. It was never said that it wasn't a great accomplishment. It was merely a "purist" opinion expressed.

Why are my Manifold Air Temps OUT OF THIS WORLD!?

Could be. I suppose I could just install the SP61 and see what happens. What are you seeing for a temp increase?

Why are my Manifold Air Temps OUT OF THIS WORLD!?

So then is the common thinking that I do have a problem? Or is it just one of those issues that isn't necessarily a problem; but, could be improved upon? I understand what grim is saying about heatsoak causing a lean condition. This is obviously something to avoid. That is why I mounted my...

Why are my Manifold Air Temps OUT OF THIS WORLD!?

Yeah, I agree and see what you're saying. What's really throwing me for a loop is looking at other logs and only seeing a fraction of the temp increase that I'm seeing. It'll be hotter. Instead of roasting a chicken, I'd be able to roast a cow! Thanks IJ. That actually helps because...

Why are my Manifold Air Temps OUT OF THIS WORLD!?

IJ: What was your baseline temp before the pull? I'm wondering what your increase was. GrimJack: This is all street tuning. I don't have my Dyno up and running yet. :(

Why are my Manifold Air Temps OUT OF THIS WORLD!?

~45* ambient temperature. ~33* windchill temp. Underhood temp at AIT Sensor ~58*. How in the world do I end up at ~99* at the AIT Sensor on a single 3rd Gear pull? I don't know. I just don't see it. Maybe some other Maft Pro guys will chime in because it just doesn't add up for me.

Why are my Manifold Air Temps OUT OF THIS WORLD!?

Nope. Greddy 20G. It is sprung at 14psi.

Why are my Manifold Air Temps OUT OF THIS WORLD!?

I've seen other people's logs where the temp increase was ~17-20 degrees as opposed to my ~45 degree increase. They were running VERY similar setups. To the one who asked: The reason afr's are still a little lean is because I'm not done tuning. ;)

Why are my Manifold Air Temps OUT OF THIS WORLD!?

A bigger intercooler is a thought. I was hoping to avoid that. What I don’t understand is how the temps can be so high with the location of my AIT. I purposely put it there to avoid heat soak. How can the air charge be that hot coming right out of the intercooler?! Maybe I should...
