eh... as long as it gets you from A to B, I suppose. :)
it definately isn't pretty but a daily driver doesn't have to be. I'd probably want the stock quiet exhaust though.
At least it doesn't have sawblades.
This is the only comparison between a 1J and 2J head I've ever seen. No sheet was ever posted though, so it's hard to put it under the hard data classification... Everything seems to be heresay, to me, without hard proof.

IDK...
If you're just running what the majority of 1Js are(intake, exhaust, downpipe) but without a boost controller, which is in the 280-310hp range, 370s are totally fine.
1.5JZ is not so cut and dry though as just buying the block.
But if that's what you wanna do, that's what you wanna do. In my opinion, I don't see the point in creating a 1JZ stroker motor when Toyota already did it for you and called it the 2JZ. Unless you have considerable money invested...
What's 'safe' to some might not be to others. I, personally, won't be raising my boost anymore than it's hitting right now(which is about 12-14psi) without throwing in the 440s I have laying around. And only after having them flowtested and balanced...
I'm expecting to get near 350whp in the...
I disagree, quite honestly... If you have full exhaust, some more boost, add some cams, maybe a little afc tune, you'll be knocking on the door of 350+hp. No way in hell would I trust my engine with those mods to 370cc injectors. Especially if they haven't been flow tested and balanced to...
You need a shine lip. After owning and breaking two real fiberglass bomex lips, never again will I use a fiberglass lip... There's no room for error.
Love my shine lip. Takes a beating like a champ and still looks fine.
^that's kinda emo...
I like my car because it's fun. It's fairly inexpensive(well the entry fee is) for a car with pretty decent performance and a great engine.
When it's not fun anymore, I'll sell it and move on to something else. Plain and simple. That time doesn't seem to be...
