Sounds like a leak to me. My intake manifold gasket had a leak and it did what you are describing. Maybe you had a leak and now it's just bigger? I dunno, just throwing that out there, heh.

Get brake lines from a car without ABS, or order them from Toyota. Or, why not fix the ABS?

Have you looked behind the passenger side kick panel? Right above the fuse/relay panel in there? That's where it looks like it is from the diagram to me.
