    Umm... a very serious matter

There isn't Supra price gouging. Toyota's pricing is consistant across their entire lineup. Occasionally you will get a part here or there that costs more for one car or another, but they aren't playing hardball. Also, for a lot of stuff (maintenance replacable items), Toyota's prices are on...

custom short shifter what do u think

The way to do it, is to split the rubber dampening from the hardened steel base, cut and reweld the base, then put the rubber back on. I had my brother do it at his shop for my AE86. :)

    VVT-i and the 7m-GE

Okay. That's a 2JZ-GE with VVT-i, same thing came in the 1998 Supra N/A, it's an 86x86 mm bore/stroke motor with 2998cc displacement. It has nothing in common with the 7M-GE, and makes 20hp more.

For all you wondering how to pronounce my screename!

I knew you had an Si before, and that your last name was Mann, so I put two and two together to figure out your name long ago. In any case, my name is Michael Richards, Jeff Lange is my interweb stage name... oops.

    VVT-i and the 7m-GE

I'm wondering what how the Supra compares to McDonald's, from what I can tell, they're pretty much the same thing right? That's about how much sense that post made. Please rephrase, haha.

    92 Bumper Installed

Umm... it's not larger, it's the same as other 89+ bumpers, word that expresses a sound I make.

Specs and Year Changes for MKIII

Yeah, we went over it, but it was brought up again. I'm still not 100% sure I buy that ABS was standard on 91-92 Turbos, it seems extremely likely, and I'm like 98% sure, but I'm still on the lookout ;). Digital dash is somewhat unique, being that we didn't get it, but ABS and TEMS are...

Specs and Year Changes for MKIII

How are you sure of it? Please provide at least a tiny tidbit of a source to back that up. This entire thread is based around fact. I won't change my post based on someone's opinion, ;). My opinion is that ABS was never made standard on the MK3, possibly standard on the turbo models, but never...

    6m crank

What about below stock redline? I'm just curious because in the cars I'd been in they seemed very similar. I could see it making a larger difference in the higher rev range.
  16. Jeff Lange

should i go with 6m or 7m crank?

I dunno, I never felt the 7M crank was much smoother compared to my 88 w/6M crank. They seem very similar to me, but I guess my 88 could just be running very well, I dunno, or the couple 7M-equipped cars I was in were rough, but everything seemed very similar.

    6m crank

86.5-89 Cranks were "6M" stamped with no counterbalances on cylinders 2 and 5. 90-92 Cranks were not stamped with anything, and have counterbalances on all 6 cylinders. This is commonly called the "7M" crank, and weighs 5lbs more than the early cranks.

    Tail light gaskets

It shouldn't, and I've never had it happen. It sickens me when I hear about it happening in other places.

53882-14110 That's the part number for the fender seal(s). Pretty sure it's still available, for $15.98 LIST.

Specs and Year Changes for MKIII

Am I missing something here, what are you showing? As far as the bodies of the cars go, the N/A and Turbo were very close, the Turbo had the badging, and the spoiler, aside from that, they are identical on the exterior, pretty much. As far as I know, all Supras had the lighted key hole...
