im not sure valve ticking would have the same symptoms. if so, noise would be higher up and most prominent at cold starts.

but the limit in mk3s is seen between 300-400hp, if not properly modified. if you beef everything up then yes, you could make it last a while.

if its what im thinking of (cant see the pics) then dylan wiggins modified his lights to be round. www.dylanwiggins.com check it out, i think he cut some 4" black plastic pipe and epoxied it in there, looks nice when its done right.
