finally got back on track and purchased a clutch today at northern. im going from an 8" pulley to a 10 tooth sprocket, about an inch and a half in diameter.
also got the mig welder up and running and its flat out amazing compared to the stick welder. no contest.
140 for valve cover gaskets suck. the gaskets from rockauto were like $7 apiece, new screws and washers from toyota were $22, and spark plugs are however much you're willing to pay. its an hour job, including cleanup.
thats exactly what youre lookin for, so h8r says. the 3 speed has bearings, and hell, youve already got a horizontal shaft. torque converters work wonders :)
just cause, never thought about switching to a chain. is there any advantage of chain drive?
update: almost have a 200cc manual atv to take apart and use for the kart :)
that'd be the best setup, cause you've already got a horiz output and a roadworthy engine. you lemme know when you've finished and we'll go head to head, romaine to iceberg.
