Is this a real Turbo A engine?

It's a Turbo A motor. Or at least, a 7M-GTE running on Turbo A electronics/accessories. The part number on the ECU is for a Turbo A, whether it says 92 or not has nothing to do with it. The Turbo A motor had a larger turbo, no AFM, and a larger 3000 pipe, that is almost the entire extent of the...

Looks like a real Turbo A engine to me, but I will confirm when I get home.

    Toyota Electrical Wiring Diagram

Yup, I've got EWD books for all of my Toyotas, they are great. Just thought I'd mention it though because some stuff did change throughout the years and while the TSRM on his site is for 1990, the EWD is for 89.

    if the supra didnt exist...

DSM = Diamond Star Motors, it was a joint venture between Mitsubishi (Diamond) and Chrysler (Star) in the 1990's, and they had a plant in the USA where they produced cars. The 3000GT/Stealth was built at a Mitsubishi-only plant in Japan. It was not a DSM.

I feel real funny about my new car.

I mean the code "MA71-000000". That is the chassis code. I guarantee you won't find it, you'll be kicking yourself later when you go look and it's not, I've seen it happen so many times, lol.

I feel real funny about my new car.

I still can't believe this still comes up. All MK3 Supras are MA70. MA71 is only used in VIN numbers to denote Turbo models. You will never find a North American Supra with MA71 stamped onto the firewall. The only place you will ever find MA71 is in the VIN and in the model code. There is no...

Also a note: 3000GT's and Stealths are NOT DSMs. They were built in Japan.

Whats odd about this guage cluster....

160 is the last number, but actually since the km/h goes to 280 and you have a line past 160, I would say it goes to 170mph. :)

Whats odd about this guage cluster....

It's a 1990 USA 5-speed TEMS gauge cluster with an 86.5-88 N/A Voltmeter. You can tell it's an 89+ cluster because of the needles and less lines on the gauges, as well as the cruise light added on the tach, as well as the change to the indicators (made them all black). You can tell it's a 1990...

    Shameless ebay thread

At your request. Just to point out, I was just confused by it at first, it made sense after you explained it. That being said, it probably wasn't the greatest idea anyways, since people do like to screw around. I bet this thread would have been worse on other forums. :( Sorry. Thread closed.
