oh man...so...i didnt buy these rims yet...and i calculated it...it would cost me 300 for the rims..and 100 for the powdercoat. well i was just digging around ebay and found these hyperblack rims that would cost me 10 more bucks more and a lot less hassle then this idea of mine..what do you...

isnt hyper black a lighter silvery black? i dont know if it would make the lip stand out as much as i want

so i did some photoshopping and i think im gonna do the black with the polished lip. looks pretty good virtually, its gotta look good in person :bigthumb:

how can i polish the lip myself before powdercoat?

maybe ill polish the lip myself after i sandblast them and then tape it off and send it to powdercoating. how can polish them myself?

well the powdercoating isnt gonna cost me much. im gettin it done for a hundred bucks...ill see if i can pull off that black with the shiny lip idea, but i doubt it...unless someone knows a way to do it..

well i just wanted some input. i did want the black with the polished lip but im not to familiar with how to do that and will cost me more if i tell the powdercoating dude to do it

so my exterior is pretty much stock equipped with sawblades. robbeats really inspired me to get some late model mk3 wheels and get them powercoated...that will be complimented by my drop once my suspension crap comes in...what color do you think should go with my black paint? i was thinking...

with one for sale..you mean just a trans right? im lookin to get everything at once to just get it done and not drag out...so im lookin for anyone that has everything i'd need to do a swap....and if you have that then we'll talk.

i wanna swap to r154 trans. if anyone wants an auto trans, we can spend a weekend and do a swap on both cars...works out for the both of us. i doubt anyone will reply, but its worth a shot.
