1jz for reliability
hopefully it is better taken care of then the 7m ;)
Reliability is ultimately the owners responsobility NOT the engine ;)
1jz, 7m, 350 SBC, 500 BB mountain motor....if the owner don't take care of them. They WILL break and be "unreliable".

195,000 miles...
well not for anything but the 12mm/ 1/2 studs have been shown to hold the power. We honestly don't need an upgrade :)
the 2jz guys using the small 10mm bolt on the other hand do.
i can answer the half inch stud question
at 12mm studs for our car STOCK. Our bolts/studs are already bigger than the MKIV (they use 10mm bolts).
going to 1/2" stud only increases the outside diameter by .03". Not that big a gain. Talking with ARP they actually recommend going bigger, two...
ok
first off why do you NEED a standalone? What is the SAFC not doing for you that you are looking into a standalone?
Not everyone needs a standalone to achieve what they are going after ;)
the 7m is more than capabe and seeing all these long stroke engine rev... the 7m when built should be able to rev accordingly. (see my 7m revability thread here and on SF for what I am talking about).
as for big HP
tuning is it. I think Will Neely grenaded a couple of engines on his quest...
u joint bad??
On a supra??
no way these u-joints in the ds are not some paulty piece. I have yet to see one fail i have seen a ton of cars with other shit broken to include broken drive shafts but no broke u-joints. :)
way to much work.
Adjuster uses the crane big block chevy inner springs without issues. He is even on a stroked 7m ;)
cost should not be to big an issue especially when dealing with chevy parts.
no
to replace rings requires access to the bottom end WHCH requires lifting the motor to remove the cross member which still needs the bottom end removed to mic the crank and stuff. Engine has to come out.
actually you done that real nicely :p
btw
also their is always more than one PVC flavor ;)
Not all of them melt or start deforming at the temprature ;)
i see it both way
though i have seen people try and cut other cars off. So why shouldn't the big hunking slow accelerating piece of metal ohave the right off way? I mean i have asshole cutting me off. I put my blinker and there is some yahoo that insists that he won't let me in. If this is...
three inches to wide for the stock radiator?
i know there is roughly about 34 inches between the frame. The ultimate question is does it fit in the engine bay at all? If it does. Three inches can be made to fit ;)
dude you check all the tubing to make sure you don't have a leak?
pedal going down and not doing anything is air in the system
ABS? If so you might need to run it a bit to get all the trapped air out of there.
