You need the 89+ console lid, as well as the cup holder, but it will fit right onto your 88 center console.

Generally speaking those changes happened for 1990, not 89, along with the newer crank. (Happened in 08/89 - model year 1990).

Since when has the CPS been different? The connector on the CPS never changed, nor did the part number for it.

It sounds like the part I was looking at. 72443-14010 is the part number. Pretty sure that's what you need.

I see 2 "Vertical Travel Nuts" in the power seat area, not sure if that's what you're looking for or not. Do you have a picture of it per chance? Thanks

The whole basis of my thought was that I'd seen people put lug nuts on for shifters, but I guess they're getting them from other cars. I knew the thread pitch of those for sure, but not of the shifter. In any case, 12x1.25 it is.
