ok
with the HKS FCD
here is what i recommend.
Get all necessary tools
Get HKS FCD.
Smash HKS FCS with said tools.
Done.
Do not install the HKS FCD. It is not a viable option. FCD is there to PROTECT your motor.
Optima and Quality???
not in this court. I went through to many of those craptacular batteries in to short a time. Stick with Oddessy if the pockets go that deep. Other wise the diehards and all that work extremly well.
freezing in the car
if the radiator froze you can guarantee the block also froze. I have seen ice break blocks at the cylinder walls.
You best pray that you did not mess the engine block up. And next time. BUY antifreeze. Put it in the microwave and then put it in the car hot after this...
stock tb at 65mm will flow quite a bit.
but my advise. If you are going with an FFI. Think about going with a 87-93 5.0 Mustang TB mount plate instead. They come in all sorts of sizes. From 60mm to a nice beefy 105mm ;) And they are very affordable (well 5.0 parts are cheap but you knew ;) )...
hmm

you are talking about the wrist pin i THINK. ;)
I replied
but in short
if you have thehead off the car
a bottle of chevron techron and let it sit. It will take that carbon away without issues.
If the car is still running
You have to options. ATF Fluid (prefereably Dexron III) or water through the intake prior to the throttle...
you know after working on engines and the 7m engines.
i find them an incredible piece of engineering marvel.
Think about it.
stock the 7m does 220 hp at the crank. Nothing impressive right? Well when you take the engine apart and you see how high up and how low the piston goes and...
ok
I reread my statement and i don't know what i was thinking when I typed that.. I KNEW you were installing the 7m-ge into a supra??? :aigo:
Yes you are correct you NEED the SUPRA oil pan and oil pump.
i had close to 210,000 on the clock when my engine died.
Bt it died because of me and a stupid ice patch :o
High compression
actually for 216,000 miles. those number are about right. Reason, carbon deposit on the piston. ;) Increases compression.
