Again, I'm with you my hooker. I'd rather have a MKIII pure meeting than go to another like this years meet. I too make good money & could have a MKIV if I wanted, but I don't want one. I love my MKIII. I laughed when I saw that a majority of the MKIV owners were about 10 yrs younger than...
My car can be seen again from 2:18 - 2:21, white MKIII on the left hand side. Three whole seconds this time.:biglaugh:
....And at the 4:55 I'm passing a MKIV....
Actually, if you look over the left hand side of Matt's rear end (at the 2:01 point of the vid), you can see the ass end of my car for about a second or so. :squint: I know what your saying, most of the MKIV owners looked down their noses at the MKIII owners.
I doesn't matter to me...
I understand, my hooker. I was the only MKIII to show up during the initial get together on Rocky Point. Whiskey was there (pretty cool guy, too) & he has a legit 800+ rwhp car, but he's scared to death of my car. :biglaugh:
That's cool, but now I'm getting confused. My machinist can put a severly smooth surface on my block & head, so is it still wise to lap them after he machines them or not?
I had great success with my MHG after he machined them for me, but I'm still paranoid that I'll get a BHG with my new...
I've searched, only to find that the block & head need to be lapped, but not what to use to lap them with.
and yes, I'm certain Jake was joking. :biglaugh:
My machinist has built three other motor for me & has done an excellent job on all of them. He says that the finish his cutter will leave will be more than smooth enough. I'm going to take his word for it.....:icon_conf
I'm asking the fuckin questions here, do you mind? (Full metal jacket reference :biglaugh: ) I thought it was a machined block of steel.
My machinist said that he can get it well smooth enough for MHG by putting on a fresh cutter on his deck machine & cut it super slow. It worked for my...
I met Whiskey there, & I think he's in the mid 800's. He's pretty funny, although he feared meeting me on the street. :biglaugh:
I thought about getting on the dyno, but it didn't make sense to being I'm about to yank my motor. It's a good thing, as I would have opened a can of 300hp...
exactly where did you get your head lapping device from? It's time for the assembly of my block but I need to have it lapped first, so I need to get my hands on one.
Sorry, I waited as long as I could. I'm glad to hear that your car is up & running, now go get it tuned & say what kind of power you're making. Maybe I can swing by sometime next week (after turkey day).
It was cool meeting NegGeforce, Polobia & 1fastsupra. We should arrange a mkIII...
Pics or be banned :biglaugh:
I was there this morning, but I had to leave. let Jayson know I can stop by his place tomorrow & pick up the parts he has for me. I was the lone mkIII at Rocky Point this morning, but several showed up (6 more, I believe including Polobia) and the dyno...
