Well I know it's not normal I meant is it a normal thing to happen with this transmission for their age. I have been thinking about rebuilding the tranny and wish I could have done that when I replaced my clutch but I didn't have the money for it at the time.

Sounds like the problem I have, there is oil all over the underside. So I have to remove the belts, timing belt after I set the motor to TDC, crank pulley, and what gearing exactly I am a bit confused on that?

I changed my cam seals when I did the head gasket, so I doubt those are leaking.

Are those the plugs that are in the spark plug area? There isn't much oil in that area it's mostly grime but doesn't look fresh in any way.

How difficult is this job? for reference I changed my head gasket myself along all of the gaskets and seals that were in my path how does this compare to the main seal? I imagine what I did is more difficult lol.

yea we only got snow in like northern Texas lol here in Houston we usually get ice and very little snow if any but it's nice not having to worry about the salt on the roads rusting our cars unless you live in Galveston then you gotta worry about the sea water in the air.
