Perfectly normal sir. Keep in mind, that cooling efficiency is more about the fan than the radiator itself. If your fan can't pull enough air, it doesn't matter how nice your radiator is. ;) Minor warning about Water Wetter though: using it WILL help you find ANY leak in your system. :p

If I read your post correctly, you have the heater valve bypassed? If not, I'd be willing to bet that's what is causing the intermittent problems.

I don't believe there are any road courses in Wyoming, I know of precisely TWO drag strips. One being an 1/8th mile (woooo... lame), the other being further than the track in SLC. Shame too, I'd settle for any motor sport that didn't involve DIRT...

Chambers, the engine bay is actually VERY similar to a Mk3, in dimensions. A 1uz could possibly fit, and it's on the list. As is a 7m, if only for the sound. What is the lift of these camshafts? I would think that would provide your answer... most cams I've seen for our motors seem to be ~9.5mm of lift. Duration was where they were different.

Are you going to a strictly track car? I've been in a few Mk3's without any sound deadening, interior, etc... it's not fun if you intend to use it often. If it's a toy, then knock yourself out (well, it's your car anyway), but I wouldn't recommend it. If you're looking for that extra 1% though...

Man, even with stock suspension, your car looks so low compared to the rest of those cars. Looks 3x better than any of them even as is. Funny how much cars have bloated in 20 years...
