Coolant Reservoir with Large FMIC (Different / Relocate)

The JZA70 doesn't have a sensor, so I should be good there, heh. I'm not sure I have enough room to mount anything in there like that, but thanks anyway. Anyone else? Jeff

Coolant Reservoir with Large FMIC (Different / Relocate)

What are you guys using when you install your FMIC, are you just relocating it, or is there a reservoir from another car that fits well above the FMIC? I'm trying to find something that will fit/work well in a JZA70. I'll probably try to fit something from some other car, but I figured if...

    7mgte wiring harness

What part is cut? If it's just a connector here or there or something, repair it. If it's a major issue, you could replace it. Honestly without knowing more I can't say. Jeff

Mechacnical Speedo Cable with Aristo A340?

Yeah that bolt hole is quite far away on the Aristo tail housing. Interesting, I didn't expect that. I haven't seen any plates that long from Toyota, but your solution looks like it will work well. Jeff

    Cool/Rare parts thread?

Just buy one from Toyota if you really want one, no need to go after someone else's knob, haha. Jeff

Right, but I assume he knows what it is supposed to plug into. Jeff

92 wiring harness plugs same as any other cars?

Many other Toyota models from the same time period have similar connectors. Which connector specifically are you looking for? Jeff

Thread moved to regional forum. (Shouldn't have been in the MK4 section). Jeff

SOGI mod, cut and weld thread or tap new shift stick?

Definitely 12x1.25. Reading this thread made me cringe a bit, not sure why I ever said it was 1.5. One more reason to never trust anything you see on the internet, as if you needed another reason. Jeff

Mechacnical Speedo Cable with Aristo A340?

A bit surprised it didn't just bolt up, but glad it worked in the end. In for pics just to see anyway, lol. Jeff

    my new toy

Correct. This is the best way to verify model year. Look at your VIN. This isn't really true for most cars, and not true at all for the Supra. Most Toyotas sold in North America during the Supra's time period had the changeover in August. Looking at your post now, it appears in your second...

Need VIN....factory 1jz-ri54 car. Overseas help please!

Doesn't matter that there are 14 at the warehouse, Toyota USA won't release these without a VIN. There are several other parts coded as such as well (3S-GTE 3rd gen timing belt, several AE86 JDM parts that were loaded in the USA system previously, etc.). Jeff

jzx90 harness and ecu on a jza70 engine

If this isn't going into a Supra, it really makes no difference, in fact the JZX harness might be better because I believe it has all of the ECU connectors on the engine harness versus the JZA harness which has one ECU connector in the dash harness. Good luck. :) Jeff

jzx90 harness and ecu on a jza70 engine

If it was me, I'd try to find a JZA70 harness and ECU, it will be a much easier/less messy swap. Of course either can be done. Jeff

Mechacnical Speedo Cable with Aristo A340?

Yes, this would be done from the outside. Remove speed sensor, install cable adapter. Maybe find one used from someone on the forums? (You'll need a matching driven gear, meaning you'll want one from a 7M-GTE car). Part numbers if you just want to buy the parts required: 33403-69195 - Driven...

    ABS delete Q's!

I'm not sure why your braking pressure would change, since they are both 25.4mm (1 inch) master cylinders, but perhaps there are some internal differences I am unaware of. Jeff
