    Piston Choices

    I chose JE because they're the lightest of them all. Not only does it help with engine response, it also reduces wear & tear on the rotating mass too (especially the crank & rod bearings). Something not often thought about when choosing pistons......

    That is my next project. Well, maybe their GTM. I was ready to buy the kit, but my wife asked me to get something that I can haul both kids around in, so I bought my Supra instead. Regardless, my Supra will be my DD and I will have a Factory 5 in my garage.

    it wouldn't be worth fixing it to sell for me. You're going to have to sink $1500 - $2000 to get it in running condition. after sinking that much into it, you'll be lucky to break even. Buy it & part it out if anything

    did you mess with your timing? If so, check it & make sure all of your I/C piping is tight. Does the 60-1 rock?

    It depends on your end goal. If you're only looking to ditch the AFM, MAP ECU would be a viable option. If you might be looking for more later, such as timing monitoring (and hopefully timing too), wide band intergration, boost controller, data logging, ect, then MAFT Pro would be the better...

    Call me stupid, but what difference does it make? I turned an assload of RPM and a lot of HP/torque with them & they held up just fine. I wouldn't think that the quality chenges between the type of motor they're fab'd for.
