Yea I found that out today lol this is my first modification I've done to a car and the first real mod for the supra other than an intake for the turbo.
yea I plan on doing that when I get a female spade that has some wiring sticking out of the connector or whatever. I may just use one from my accord since I never use that car and it will never overheat lol. I did hit fuel cut though when I took the car out for a spin with the DDP but a friend...
It happens with me every time I work on the car.
I still have it but it ripped or broke at the wire and there isn't enough wire sticking out of the spade connector to solder it back together.
Finally got the car running, timed nearly right will have to borrow my friend's light to time it perfectly, no leaks but I cannot tell what my temperature is because I broke my damn connector for the gauge. I installed the DDP the part that connects to the rest of the exhaust isn't oval enough...
It's not hard just back breaking because you are bent over the entire time I got to the point of removing the old timing belt within 2 hours I could have done it faster if I wasn't cleaning up the old gasket from the water pump or even dealing with removing the water pump itself. If you want to...
I just spent the entire night replacing my timing belt, water pump, and fan clutch. Everything is back on the car except for the intake for the turbo. Tomorrow or today technically, plan to install the downpipe I also removed my crappy boost controller and put the stock hose back on. I just hope...
I bought my Asin clutch master from Rockauto, no problems here although it's not exactly the same as what comes with our cars but it still fits. I think the difference is where the banjo bolts, it bolts on the driver fender side of the cylinder but it still fits.
First performance upgrade for the poopra, new water pump and timing belt comes in tomorrow. It's the Ebay divorced downpipe from Justspeed that has great reviews despite being an ebay product. Plan on installing it while replacing my water pump, fan clutch, and timing belt on wednesday.
Quick...
I thought about getting targa bars but I want to get a shop to custom make an X bracket that bolts into the frame underneath the car. Now the ultimate thing would be a targa brace that you can leave on permanently and put the roof on top of it lol. Great review.
I had a small coolant leak from the hose that runs to the back of the engine, it was leaking all over my bell housing. Just put coolant in the car and let it run then try to spot the leak as best as you can, good thing about coolant leaks is you can find them fairly easily. Especially your...
Last night I decided on removing the crap controller and thought about buying that actuator from DM. Great info man thanks. I will remove the controller when I install the downpipe and hopefully my new water pump on wednesday.
I have a quick question about divorced downpipes on stock 7Ms, with a DDP would it increase the boost to under fuel cut levels and if so then should I remove my manual boost controller? The boost controller I have seems to suck ass anyway because I used to be able to run it at higher boost and...
Hahahahah it took a water pump to crap out on me to become a real supra owner? What about fixing my BHG myself and the little problems that came with that? When I barely made it to advance auto parts I was looking around for the leak and thought it was my lower radiator hose but after I filled...
Thanks, I am not sure but I rather not take the risk and the Felpro gasket is less than 2 bucks on Rockauto vs over 3 bucks at the auto parts store, so no big deal if I don't need it. I am also ordering a new fan clutch, 160F fail safe thermostat, and a timing belt I can't find the pulley...
