    ideas for better gas mileage

Wes with Dahn Automotive once told me about a Prius that he got to work on once that was in some sort of "factory" mode (I forget the details exactly, maybe a debug mode?). Anyway, apparently the electric motor on those is limited to a certain amount of its total torque output. Turns out in this...

Driveshaft Decision. I'm torn. Advice from experienced?

Would it be out of the question for you to make more of those Ian? Or just cost prohibitive for those of us in the US?

    Found a Supra on craigs

Clint... you owe me a new monitor man. I thought that was off the table... oh well, it was funny. The shit you say in Vegas when you've soaked your liver in the finest 80 proof the Captain makes...

For Speaker Sizes and Questions Click Here

I got a set of Infinity Reference 6x8's for my old lady's car last Christmas. Probably one of the best sounding speakers I've ever heard in that price range. Got a buy one, get one sale on Crutchfield at the time, I think it was like $200 for all 4 speakers. I'm sure they have a nice 6.5". :)

Any 2 Wheel Lovers on the forums

Well played sir... I guess if you have the right setup and are a hardass and a half, with brass ones the size of bowling balls, then kudos to you. :) Speaking of hardasses, what must their skin be made of? It is unpleasant enough to have a gust of wind hit your face when it is -40° out...

    ideas for better gas mileage

I've always gave it a good amount of the loud pedal to get up to speed, then shifted to the right gear for the speed. Returns decent fuel mileage considering all things. I would look into a hypermiling forum for advice of this sort. You probably wouldn't ask them how to get a few extra horses...

My 1977 7M-GTE CELICA! Finished! Test drive vid on page 18!

Always like shiny new stuff... As for the flywheel, double check the JZ Swap for Dummies thread (not saying you're a dummy, just a lot of good info in there), IIRC, you can use the 2j flywheel with the R154. Could be wrong though, so check my math. Curious why you don't want anything to do...

Anybody wanting nice coilovers? Good opportunity here...

Is anyone at least interested in this? So far we have two people committed, and one other interested party, of the 8 we need. Details can probably be worked out, but is there any other INTEREST so far? :D

fresh 1jz swap missfirjng not building boost.

Have you checked your gap on the spark plugs yet? ;) Another common culprit is cracked coil pack boots, I've even read of a fuel hard line being kinked, which caused funny fuel pressure and resulted in something similar.

BCL GT wings for MKIII interest thread.

Indeed, I was curious what your plan was to increase front downforce as well. Nothing wrong with planting the ass down, until you need to turn and realize you've effectively generated lift with all that rear downforce... Given what I've seen of your car, it should look good. I do find it a...

    Don't be alarmed!

Haha, well in my defense, this was back in early 2006, I didn't even know about Supramania. Now if you are on here, I don't see why so many excuses, but if you're out in the wild (so to speak), I can see where people get confused. Simple to reset as lock it on a good door, then unlock it again...

    VIS Carbon Fiber Hood?

Ahh, he must have made all the hoods for you guys without the vents, and then modified the mold for my hood. Koenigturbo, I do not have my hood just yet, I'll send Marcus a message and see where he is at with the process. I know mine has been a huge pain in the butt for him. :p

What did you do to your supra today? Pics

If you can use the stock shroud, cover up the holes that the AC would normally run through, or put small auxillary fans there (like stock). Definitely have your work cut out for you. Might also look into getting a vented hood. Really doubt they would cope well with Supra heat, Flyin Miata has...

    Found a Supra on craigs

And because Craigslist ads tend to disappear (killing our chance at fun), here is the ad: That thing is about as sexy as a 3 dollar hooker... :nono:

Driveshaft Decision. I'm torn. Advice from experienced?

Bigger market, lower prices? Or just a matter of what year you bought it... Gas itself was probably a lot cheaper when you had that car too. ;) To the OP, who have you been working with at the Driveshaft Shop? I was planning on getting the Titan carbon driveshaft, but it may prove hard to find...

    Went to the dyno yesterday

I'm leaning toward a gigantic A/R (relative to the engine size), given how late it spools. Still... that power level does seem off for the pressure level. Couldn't tell you why though. Perhaps MDC can chime in and provide some insight...

Fixing that hatch leak after just about all else has failed..

So, if I understand this thread correctly, if you can't replace the clips (the white ones, which seem to be inside the hatch?), silicone the ever loving crap out of the area around them?

You know you're a Supra owner when...

As in chassis # 1, the first one sold to the public? Got a picture of your VIN plate? or you just have the first of that year? Either way, would love to see that...

BCL GT wings for MKIII interest thread.

So much sand in this thread, wow... If I didn't already have a Regulus, I'd probably be all over this. Hell, not like I'm only building the car to a 7 anyway, might as well go for broke. :) Question for the OP though... aside from keeping the suspension lower in front than rear, what would you...
