Driveshaft Decision. I'm torn. Advice from experienced?

Well I gave you my vote already. And you could be right on the pricing thing by going direct to DSS. Sometimes things are priced higher if you go direct.

compound turbo piping and sizes for 7m,1jz,2jz

Nice find. Really like the guy at the end of the video who just sits on someone's Ford GT... hope that was his car! :p Seriously though, I love the idea, and the more I look into it, the more it just screams "great idea", but still... I dunno. 4 - How big is your swap hammer, and... 5- How...

    Valve Clearances & Performance

http://www.supramania.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?108-Motor-Oil-Lubricants-amp-Filtration Plenty to read in there and come to your own conclusion. I've come to my own conclusion that oil additives are largely (if not entirely) unnecessary, thanks to a LOT of research that has been shared in...

    60ft's and MKIII rear ends

Afraid to share? Anyway, that is pretty impressive to be cutting that quick of a time out of the hole in a car as heavy as ours, high five to you guys. :)

Anti-Lag Supra at Hotrod sound contest!!!

Man, you look about as out of place there as I would around here at a car show. I think it will cause a lot of heads to be scratched when I park both the Supra and the Chevy side by side one of these days at a show and people find out they're both mine. Some people just can't appreciate a...

Airflow at X psi elevation difference?

At first I was thinking, WTF is this guy talking about ice cream for... but I see what you're saying now. 87targa, I certainly appreciate all the input. Trying to keep this simple as possible (I'm not a mechanic, nor engineer, I'm a car guy simply because I love to DRIVE, so math has never been...

Type f tranny fluid mk3 supra?

Well there's your problem... :p What does the TSRM/owner's manual call for? It has been years since I had an auto...

Both front tires cupping on inside, why?

Another thing that may have been slightly overlooked, it is always a good idea to keep an eye on tire pressure. Sometimes it is the simple things, but I'm thinking you aren't quite so lucky in your case. ;)

ForcedTorque is finally driving every day!

+11ty billion. ;) Too bad you got the auto though. Might not be such a big deal on the GT, but the GT-S with the auto is such a tease. You can only use the VVT-I function in 1st gear on American roads legally haha... 2nd gear doesn't hit the sweet spot of the 2zz until after highway speed...

    2jz swap turbo questions

If you can swing it, go for a modern ball bearing turbo. Size it properly, and you'll do well. Think about it this way: Would you rather have good power down low and in the mid range, or make an engine that sacrifices 1000rpms of usable power to make your top end goal, while only using 60% of...

Driveshaft Decision. I'm torn. Advice from experienced?

Good to know, thanks IJ. Ideally I'll spring for the carbon shaft and cover it with a nice under tray to keep out debris. ;)

    Found a Supra on craigs

Heh, no worries man, good memories. I still have that bottle. At least I'm pretty sure it was that one. I have emptied a few of them over the years...

    Fuel pump pre prime system

Sounds like my old 22R Celica. Literally 'blip' the key (don't turn, just twist briefly and let go) and it was up and running smooth. My 1j does that on occasion, but it isn't something I can make happen every time...

How's that been working out for you? I'd read through the oils and lubrication sub-forum sticky threads before putting in another drop of that stuff. ;)

Airflow at X psi elevation difference?

See, this is the same argument I got into with my friend up here. I say that 12psi is 12psi is 12psi. The turbo charger is compressing air, once you introduce a wastegate into the equation, does that not equal things out between atmospheric pressures? This is the argument that Poodles introduced...

Manual or automatic? If manual, Redline MT-90 is good stuff. ;)

Anybody wanting nice coilovers? Good opportunity here...

Well, to be fair, $1000 ($999 if you wanna get technical) is still a decent amount of cash for most people, especially on short notice. It is about 2 months of my budget for my car, so if I hadn't already had money that I was saving up for the fuel system, I probably wouldn't be in any position...

Both front tires cupping on inside, why?

Got a picture? Isn't cupping caused by the toe setting? Or is it a caster setting? I forget alignment symptoms today...

My 1977 7M-GTE CELICA! Finished! Test drive vid on page 18!

I can see that I suppose. I have a stock 1j flywheel (versus the lightweight alternative) and it is easy enough to drive. Not quite as rev happy as I would like it to be, but I'm not disappointed at all. I think I'll probably get a lightweight flywheel for my setup when I get the new clutch...
