4.0L 32v v8.. hmm... sounds kinda like the 1uz I have waiting to go into my supra. 6 speed manual. 200k on body, well maintained, ~100k on the dealer replaced shortblock. (not entire engine) there's two spots of rust on the doors, otherwise paint is gorgeous. almost everything works...

no, it says 1uz twin turbo. The 1uz-fe is a 32v v8 made by toyota.

Have you considered filling the frame rails (and/or rocker panels,) with chassis stiffening foam? OEMs have done it so I don't think it's any kind of voodoo.
