Yea I am going to have to ship it out to get it rebuilt unfortunately. I'll do that once I get my accord up and running, so I can still have a car for work and such.
When I order from advance and such I always look for promo codes hehe thanks for the tip though. I want to replace everything that deals with the power steering while I am already in there I kind of want to replace the reservoir too.
Well I am glad I tried to get a final price in the cart because Advance auto, O'Reilly, and Rockauto do not have them in stock and say unavailable........ Oh joy lol
Yea Rockauto has the rack with EVO for like $300. I want to try and fix up my accord this weekend, so I can daily drive that and take my time fixing up the MK3. Advance Auto Parts has it for $260
I want to also replace my hoses because they seem to be leaking a tiny bit, so I'd like to upgrade to steel braided if it's not difficult.
I assume these are the bushings you are talking about http://raptorracing.com/toyota-mkiii-supra/mkiii-suspenion/raptor-racing-mk3-steering-rack-bushings

So my 91 MK3 needs a new rack and pinion, should I get one from Toyota or are the Cardone remans the same thing? Also I am pretty sure I need one with EVO since I have PPS but I want to be sure on that and what else should I get to replace while I am in there bushings, parts, etc.?
While I was hosing off the soap in the back the lighting was just right and I just stood there still spraying the hose like I was hypnotized. The paint just looked so beautiful I was literally stunned for a moment and thinking damn it looks so good right now. Then after I dried it and cleaned...
Today she ran beautifully I don't hear an exhaust leak anymore still have an oil leak though apparently I'll find out in a few days once everything settles in. Afterwards I gave her a nice special bath and she looks beautiful.
spent the last 8 hours or so disassembling the exhaust side of my 7M to do this AGAIN but this time with the DM 7/16 kit with coarse threads.
brings back memories of when I did my head gasket and helicoiled the exhaust studs with the 29/32 or whatever. Drilling those helicoils out was a bitch...
Yea cheap builds never go well and you end up spending more than if you went with quality parts in the first place. I plan to not cheap out on my 2JZ build when I finally get to it that build will cost more than what I paid for the car easily lol.
I have all of that as well the owners kept everything in a folder stored in the glove box and ever since I got the car I've put every receipt for whatever I've done to it in there. It's nice knowing the entire history of the car.
Finally got my clutch kit, motor and tranny mount and steel braided clutch line installed and my god I love Spec's stage 2+ clutch now, the pedal is so damn light it's better than stock and it bites nicely but I've only had it under 3500 rpm until it's broken in. Also when I shift the tranny...
Yea I see Rockauto has a Cardone re-manufactured or refurbish but not sure if brand name matters or it's all the same. Also what else should I get while doing this? I was thinking of getting the steel braided lines from DM for the power steering and some bushings, etc.
I got some of this
I used it to hold down my boost controller and I am pretty sure if I try to remove or lift my boost controller it will rip the plastic off or something. This stuff is insanely strong.
