Lotus-born suspension on the MKIII Supra?

Actually it is the MKII that Lotus did the suspension on. In 1980(81) Toyota bought controlling stock in Lotus. The MKII was WAY ahead of its time, and was rumored to be the next Lotus. There is a Lotus car that was built which uses the same suspension for the MKII. Lotus guys every now and...

Gauging interest in Community effort drag car!!

No .57 trim. If its gonna be done, it's gonna be done right. JT70. When the time comes, I'll get you one for cost. I rated it at 550rwhp and that should be very conservative, with race gas and such I think 600rwhp should be doable. Bolts on to the stock manifold. Jeff

    what fly wheel to pick

I figured street car, excuse me. For a race car, Go with the lightest flywheel you can get. Preferably with a replaceable insert so it can be serviced down the line 8-). Good luck! Jeff :bigthumb:

    what fly wheel to pick

My opinion is to not use a lightweight flywheel. I have found that the harsh characteristics of a 6 puck clutch are made greater with a lightweight flywheel. And I do not find that it makes a tremendous difference. The car is smoother with a stock flywheel. Jeff

    Stupid #$#$^%#$%@ Walbro Fuel Pumps

When a Walbro starts making noise something inside dies. They then don't pump as much fuel anymore. Walbros are not the best of pumps, and because of this I don't even carry them in my store. Denso MKIV pumps, on the other hand... They rock 8-). Jeff

    WALBRO FUEL PUMP

I meant an OEM MKIV Pump, but I get them for like $200-ish. And well worth every single penny. Denso makes the Pump for Toyota, so I get Denso brand pumps. Jeff

    WALBRO FUEL PUMP

walbro 255. But save yourself some headache and get a MKIV pump to start with, it's 255 also, and a better, long lasting pump. And remember this statement: One day, when your walbro gets loud, it's dead. It may still pump fuel, but it no longer can push it as high PSI anymore, and you'l run...

    Plans..... read and comment please.

I think you should buy a fuel cell rather than build one, They are already certfied for when you do drag racing, or whatever. I think unless you already build fuel cells for a living, it'd be better in the long run to just buy one to begin with. Other than that, the idea sounds great. Jeff
