Charlie, evergreen turbo, Ocala, Florida. He seemed like the nicest guy when I talked with him on the phone. He gave me a great deal on doing 6 turbos at one time. I would have still been using him if I hadn't had problems with those turbos. I don't rebuild turbos, I farm it out (to MDC)...

No offense, but Charlie at evergreen built 6 of my turbos in one batch, and I had to pay to have 4 rebuilt, and the other two cracked the housings they died so bad. He was a nice guy, but he uses a cheap rebuild kit, and couldn't have balanced them. Jeff

A normal CT-26 rebuild is $375 retail (I do them for $350), An upgraded CT-26 is about another $200 more. But Jon and I only do .57 trim because they last the longest, and make the best reliable power. Jeff

Um, easy, if internal wastegate, disconnect the actuator, if a external wastegate remove the spring, 0psi, no boost, hence no power, Then pull the timing back to like 6' and call it a day 8-). Jeff

The 62-1 is a GREAT turbo, prolly the best street turbo for the MKIII. I get a masterpower one for like $585-$600-ish. more depending on options. Jeff
