i lost 5+/-psi with the rx-7 oil cooler seen at the return line to the block compared to in front of the cooler. Stuck the stock gauge back in the stock port and DAMN, it reads barely above the first line yet prosport gauge reads 30+psi in that range. Prosport is in the return line to engine...
id run 1/2 I.D. for the valve cover vents to the tb and then to the accordian port. Autozone carries pcv hose but "A system will only flow as much as the point of greatest restriction" (drill out those valve cover ports). And as far as that big one behind the alternator, oem. Local guy used...
shouldnt need to go that far with it, i can get to ANYTHING i need by dropping the splash guards under the fog light in regards to under the headlamp areas.
^^ how did you test it and what where your results? Most guys dont have extras laying around :)
have you looker at your vf's? when i max them out lean, i get suttle (sp?) mis fires at idle
i had same issue, drilling out the pcv ports on the valve covers fixed it AFTER i verified there was no blockage in the tube behind the alternator and any of the other pcv lines. its excess pressure in the crankcase, better the dipstick and not your seals ;)
pull the dipstick on ANY car and smell it, my work truck, supra, girls car (brand new) other work van all have a faint smell of exhaust gas. if the rings sealed PERFECTLY id imagine there would be no need for a pcv system.
how badly the gas smell is is important but still not very helpful as...
