    then my guess is on the gasket between the filter head and the block. You should be able to see an oil line trickling down to the filter. Hate to think what they charged you guys, but id have it back in their shop demanding a fix!

    Take that hose off next time. Your going to push your seals out. other then that i cant see how a vac leak would cause that code. I would ask the 1J guys.

    im surprised the dealership even did the machine work and what not. make sure the oil cooler lines arent leaking and that the relief spring bolt is tight!

    how are you pressurizing the crank case (and head) from a boost leak test?. im guessing you left the pcv hose attached to the intake and stuck the tester on.

    there are not cam bearings, just journals. Migth want to see how flat the head really is then! are the cam caps in the right order?

    ive used the smt-6. For the money there are a LOT easier to use piggy backs.

    i think grimjack had a motor he said had the stuff run through it (not his) and they had to chip the crap out all over it iirc.

    you right i mixed up a time-sert with a keensert. The time-sert ive seen installed had this special drill bit end that mad a lip on the hole.

    search on here, there is a website floating around that has remaned heads for $4-500 and a few guys have used them with good results.

    you can use a socket extension with a small level to keep the drill strait. No way your going to talk me into removing the head to helicoil... now if its already off... When the stock size helicoils pulled out on a few holes i unraveled the helicoil from the other 5 holes. None of them...

    3? two hold the caliper to the bracket, 2 hold the bracket to the suspension. I did all 4 corners few months back and cant remember 3...
