So I replace my leaking clutch master cylinder and now the clutch does engage when my pedal is almost at the floor. And I also fixed a massive boost leak I had. And It feels like its not slipping any more. Thanks guys.
Finally, now K know why I hear so much air at almost full boost. I have a huge hole on one of my intercooler piping coupler (im not sure if thats what its called.) No wonder I cant feel any power. So yeah LOL. :biglaugh:
major boost leak FTL:3d_frown:
Well I can blow through the inlet side only, but its not like im passing out LOL, and its only a little. And I can feel the air leaking out the vaccum line.
well I can blow thgrough the inlet side (but its not excessive), but If I cover little tube, where the smaller hose connects to...air wont go through. If I blow though the side that connects to the accordion hose, I cant blow any air though there. So???
I think my stock bypass valve is leaking, since before I get to 10 psi I can hear it hissing.
So how do I test my stock bypass valve to see if its leaking??? Which way do I blow through???
My pressure plate is brand new (aisin).
You mean my flywheel? LOL gambling man.
Yes pressure plate's can be machined, the disc surface side of the PP is the side that gets machined.
I had the clutch installed by a mechanic, so I dont know. He told me he had installed these types of clutches before but who knows. Can there be damage done to the clutch disc if it were to be backwards??? And does it say on the disc what side is which?
Yes the flywheel was cut correctly...
Lets say the clutch is not fully broken it to. So do you guys think that if theres damage to the clutch right now (glazed or something), that with another 500 miles or so it would be alright again? Cause the 600 miles I have into it have been mostly highway miles.
But wouldnt a bad clutch master cylinder only cause bad clutch engagement? Cause it starts to slip at around 4,500 rpms after the clutch is engaged. So im confused here.
Hey guys, well I had no luck with the free play adjustment. I adjusted the free play and the clutch pedal heigh and the clutch still engages when my foot is almost all the way out. What I did notice is that my Clutch Master cylinder is leaking fluid from to the outside and to the inside of the...
Yeah I resurfaced the flywheel, but I don't know how many times it's been cut since im not the original owner of the car it came out of. Still looked pretty good though.
I'm going to adjust the free play today, and hopefully it will solve my problem. I guess ill have to get under the dash...
