    1g-gte twin turbo info

Why did they swap a 1G in? A 7M-GE has the same HP and probably much better torque, plus it is very smooth and quiet. A 2.0L 6 cylinder engine is a freak of nature.

Need some "gun experts" advice on values.

In gun magazines, I see AKs for less than $200, and SKSs for less than $100 all day long. I don't know about the Mauser. It depends on certain things, as to whether it's worth more than that. I've seen AKs go for several thousands of dollars, but we're talking about old and rare models.

Kill and killed at the same time!?

You are right about the WRX owners thinking they are King Shit. To get the magazine claimed stock speed [some of the best you are gonna see] from the WRX, you need to rev the car to 6k and beat the hell out of the clutch during launch. This isn't something you want to do with a new, warranteed...

    how a solenoid works???

I think that a NC [normally closed] solenoid would be better... NO [normally open] means you would always need power to keep it closed. This means that if you apply a constant 12v to it to make sure it is closed, it will drain the battery. Hook it up to 12v switched and it's going to spray and...

MK5 Supra News - not what you expect

Bah.. I don't want a MkIV - I just want it's engine, brakes, and maybe tranny. LoL MkIII body - just look at the car, then drive it, then look at it again. Maybe an outsider wouldn't agree, but just about everything about the cars is beautiful. 2JZ engine - just about bulletproof, huge...

MK5 Supra News - not what you expect

Some people will make any excuse to argue. Simply put: less displacement would appeal less to the American AND Japanese public who would be in the market to buy such a car. Would you buy a "new Supra" if it came with a 2.0L engine, just as the older 2.0GT model did from Japan? No, I bet you...

MK5 Supra News - not what you expect

The thing about a turbocharged car [especially a turbo 3.0L I-6, which is a great middle-man in the street driven engine world] is that it can help you have the best of both worlds - power and fuel economy. You aren't going to suck down the fuel unless you are "getting on it", unlike a...

    1jz in mk2

You can also check out Norbie's website. He's an Aussie that has a 2JZ in his MkII. The 1J and 2J should mount almost, if not identically..

MK5 Supra News - not what you expect

That I-6 needs to be 3.0L. Gotta have the Targa option, bulletproof transmission on the turbo model, and weigh at least 3200 lbs, too! IF it had a Twin-Turbo UZ engine, that would be sweet, but I wouldn't call it a Supra. There are some traditions that you just can't break.

You know you're a Supra owner when...

I need to NOT talk about my car from now on, because I ALWAYS have to explain that. I may love the MkIV engine and drivetrain, but I'm starting to hate the rest about it, just because it makes people think less of my car. I will be talking about my car to someone who knows me and knows my...

    6 speed conversion

BS! You can get a flywheel from $300-$500 generally, and the bellhousing costs about the same. ..after that, you WILL need a clutch, because the stock R154 clutch will not hold a 2JZ's power for long. Hell, a TRD clutch for the R154 would probably slip quickly on a stock 2JZ, and if you can...

    PICS of ur rims??

I can take more pics, but probably not until the weekend. PM me on saturday morning to remind me. LoL I forgot what offset they are, but I can find out. They are only 17x7.5 with 245 45 R17 rubber, so that's not too much meat.. but they are very decent for the measly $500 I paid. I don't get...
