Close Encounter's of the Dump Truck Kind

THank goodness your car was not harmed. Did everyone stop at that point, or did they go on about their business? If there was a stop, you missed the perfect opportunity to beat the snot out of the 'Lude driving ricer. To the others: it's not the dump-truck driver's fault at all; you are...

    looking to get into welding

Damn.. nice to hear that it isn't as complicated as it seemed. So.. kinda like soldering two pieces of metal together? You heat the filler rod material [the "solder"] and melt it to form a puddle between it and the two pieces of metal, in order to put them together?

looks like i got just got banned for the first time!

Yeah.. before THIS forum came to be the new MkIII hang-out [we all know that the MkIII guys are the largest group and are generally younger people with big mouths], that happened every time SF went down [very often] and people needed a place to go flame other Supra owners for a week.

looks like i got just got banned for the first time!

If you like MkIV and MkIII talk, hang around here and I-Supra. This place is great for the MkIII people, and I moderate at I-Supra - there aren't enough people over there to make it crappy, and the mods are pretty laid back.

Might be the contacts in the starter going bad/wearing out.

    what should i get mk4supra or 350z

It is my firm belief that you will enjoy the Supra more. I wasn't very impressed with the 350Z I had a ride in. The "pull" it gave was annoying, since the owner had his seats leaned back, thus straining the neck a bit. Maybe it would have been better with some upright seats instead of...

When you turn the key, do you hear the starter turning over, or do you just hear the starter click?

    weather outside effect power??

Don't gun it if it's raining out! That's a no-brainer! As far as weather outside, colder ambient air temperatures can help your car - let's say you have 50 degree air pushing across your intercooler. This further cools the charged air stream going to your intake - cooler air is more dense...

    Oh boy.........................

The GNX is one of the only american cars that I would consider buying. Very respectable. I just hope they don't make the body too curvey if they DO make a new one. The GNX was never known to be a "sexy" car. It had a very muscular look, and not in the way the sweeping lines of the '70s Camaros...

    Boost

I wouldn't recommend it. You will have to re-calibrate your boost controller, and it is ungodly loud. Too much trouble for a few hours of fun. Plus, if you are just shimmed and running 9psi, it may bring our boost up more than you want - remote possibility of hitting fuel cut, even if you are...

    Boost

It's an aftermarket Trust intercooler not made for my car, but made to fit and work. Hehe Someone I work with came back from Japan and was scrapping his Silvia projects, because the base wouldn't ship his CA18 and SR20 back to the states for his 240 transplant. He had a S13 coupe in EXCELLENT...

    Boost

I've run 13 psi to redline in 3rd gear on the stock AFM, stock turbo, and stock injectors. I only have an intake, exhaust, boost controller and intercooler. Maybe it was the cold night or location [50 degrees outside, at sea level] or freak occurance, but I tried this several times and didn't...

    Vid of AZ mk3's drifting

I'm saying that if he was trying to imitate the Japanese, he was missing the point - the point of giving the peace sign mid-drift is to show that you are skilled enough to hold a drift and have enough control over the vehicle with one hand. You saying that you don't care about the Japanese is...

    Vid of AZ mk3's drifting

Wanna see a drift? http://forum.rscnet.org/showthread.php?t=208226 Just some good ol' drifters - never meanin' no harm. Do those guys in AZ have a RHD conversion? If no, why is the passenger sticking his arm out the window? The reason the Japanese do this is to show off - the driver...

[[[STOLEN]]]] EUGENE, OR: MY SUPRA. 1988, Blue, HID, 7 Spoke Wheels, 3" Exh.

A kill switch is much more convenient than pulling a fuse, and I wouldn't want to risk breaking a fuse or wearing out the contacts. A pager alarm with an immobilization system would be best - most kids aren't going to get around that. One of the precautions I am taking is installing a...

Mike, I appreciate the hard work and pathfinding you've done for the community - Your car is a beacon to MkIII owners everywhere. I still cannot change the past, and I cannot change what I have heard, or what others have said. If you right the wrongs, then it is up to the people who have been...
