One of the only more expensive brands/stores that I actually liked was Diesel. I saw it at a mall in Anaheim CA. Most things in that store looked nice, but were way too expensive.

I've never heard a case where NA cams were used on a 2JZ-GTE. People just buy cam gears.

Or put it back to a stock look and send a 500hp+ dyno video in a box with all of the crappy body pieces back to the original owner.

I believe the GS is the Aristo in Japan, which comes with a 2JZ. Mounting a 1JZ should be no problem, but I don't understand why he didn't just get an Aristo front clip.

If I met the owner, I'd have to ask "Dude.. what happened?"

In August I was in Arizona, visiting my family. WalMart was having a sale. I don't know if it was a local sale because pants are hot in the summer, especially in Arizona, or what.. but Dickies carpenter pants were on sale for like $12 a pair. I loaded up.

I thought that the the V160 bellhousing [2JZ 6-Speed Getrag] was integrated with the tranny? It's bolt pattern where it mates to the engine is the same shape/bolt pattern as the 1JZ's R154 bellhousing. This is why the R154 can be used with a 2JZ. The transmissions for a 1JZ to use would be...

Looks like it belonged to a young kid. Most "mods" are cheap, cosmetic, mostly crappy ones - the bolt-on exhaust tip, rims, the sticker, the homemade taillights, the aluminum dash.. The sad thing is, the owner was probably really wanting something special from the car.

I think the 7Ms longer stroke really helps it's torque generating capability vs the 1JZ and 2JZ. Granted, they make more horse stock, but as their hp numbers rise fast, their torque numbers seem to lag behind a bit, where 7Ms horse/torque numbers usually stay relatively close. In this respect...
