I'm running a cooleze down pipe with his test pipe... Nothing after that, I agree that it sounds like shit until you stomp it, then it sounds a lot like a DDP. I'm pretty sure that I'll lose some power when I finally get around to putting a cat back on, but I'll sacrafice a HP or two for better...
I also test drove an SRT-4 brand new from the dealer. The dealer flogged it, I flogged it some more, no big deal. It's got impressive power for what it is, I've also driven the turbo PT's and the PT couldn't hold a candle to the SRT-4. Still it's a very uncomfortable car to shift for some...
It's def not injectors! at like 2k-3k it's really pronounced, but before or after that I can't hear it. Glad I'm not hopping up this engine, full rebuild in the works!
Damn, I wish there was a diesl shop nearby, I don't have a cat back yet, but it really would help THAT much going from a 3" test pipe to 4" exhaust right?
Yep, but it's not the made from shoddy bends at a muffle shop. Check out horsepowerfreaks.com's Goliath exhaust system. 4" MANDREL bent baby! I know of at least one member on here with it, he also posted a video of it on his car (it was one of the big HP guys on here, maybe Nate), I'm just too...
Did anybody by chance happen to save some of his rebuild thread for reference while not online? Hopefully someone has at least SOME of it saved somewhere?
Where those fan clutches used? If they were new they shouldn't have done that.
Does the idea I posted up sound very effective to you guys though? Just wondering because I was going to do this if I got a general OK from the majority here.
That's true, man that bottom bolt on the engine side is a complete bitch to get off!
The only thing I was getting at was just that the downpipe was 2.5" right after the elbow, but it increases back to 3" a little ways down. 3" off the elbow (aftermarket of course), 2.5" at downpipe, then 3"...
I've been toying with the idea of putting like a 14" pull type fan in between the intercooler and the radiator (I've removed all A/C stuff). Here's what I was thinking of doing: make a new fan shroud (the smaller fans on the right are outa there also) to keep that air flowing where it needs to...
Hey! I bought a full brake kit from these guys also, but they're for my 3G. I got the drilled/slotted rotors, axxis metal master brake pads, and SS brake lines all the way around for 400 even.
Funny thing is, I bought my supra RIGHT after i paid for these. I have them here sitting under my...
