Supra wins on "Pinks" reminder Show time-

It was a great episode, I loved watching the Chevelle weave and buck down the track while the Supra just shot down straight as an arrow, and they say IRS is crap for drag racing. :icon_razz And the Chevelle team (with the exception of Jim himself) seemed like a bunch of douchebags. Didn't...

cd player - stock head unit

Aftermarket will probably be cheaper, and if you're careful with what you get, I'm sure one with green buttons can match the factory interior quite well.

    aem Tru-boost gauge-type controller.

I have the same two gauges in a pillar pod in my car. Looks OK, but for some reason the Tru-Boost is significantly dimmer than the UEGO, and it looks kinda funny, particularly at nighttime.

    Benefit of lightweight rims?

Lighter wheels are better in every way you can think, except price. While you're reseaching, look up 5zigen FN01R-C's, they're cheap(ish), light(ish), and available in bronze!

    ALL MN Supra

I'm somewhat alive. I don't check this thread often enough, but I'm still on the forums and still have a Supra. I am currently out of the country until August however, and my car is in storage. What is everyone else up to?

    Learning to Drive, Reccomendations?

That's the plan, I don't want to put my life, license, and car into Jeopardy. Thanks for the advice! I'll look into what sort of things my local SCCA chapter has, hopefully they'll have classes as late as August, seeing as I don't get back to the states until then.... Maybe I can give...

    Learning to Drive, Reccomendations?

Hello everyone, My Supra is finally ready to drive reliably, after tons of maintenance, rebuilt engine, turbo, radiator, etc. etc, and I'm interesting in getting involved in some casual racing, be it Auto-X or Drag, anything really. My problem though is I'm having the toughest time finding...

    aem Tru-boost gauge-type controller.

Thank you!! I've been meaning to set mine up for awhile now. My car is stored right now but before I've only been using the gauge function and never got around to hooking up the solenoid.

    "Lessons in patience"

I think this is the first time in the history of the internet that somebody actually owned up to a mistake they've made...Props to you.

Has anyone ever scraped their downpipe

I have an HKS that came with the car, stock 89+ ride height, never scraped. I am a VERY conservative driver when it comes to that sort of thing though, I always crawl up driveways diagonally and dodge potholes like the plague. I do plan on getting a new DP when money allows though.

HP needed to beat a Camry - READ PLEASE and GIVE FORTH YOUR KNOWLEDGE

I'd recommend getting an HKS Turbo exhaust for your car, as well an aftermarket 3" downpipe. With those two simple mods, buyers won't even notice it's not stock, and you'll have considerably more power than your buddy's Camry.

When is the right time to move on from the mkiii?

This is the most sense that I've read in quite awhile. Abosolutely true on all levels. Stock for stock the Supra may not be as fast or handle quite as well, but the actual driver interaction is superior to most new cars, namely the absurdly comfy seats and awesome dash layout. I've found I have...
