He didn't specifically say that, but that's the assumption I made when he offered to re-ring it.

It does sound a bit far fetched, if it did make a difference it would be negligible.
That being said, 5-spokes look a lot better on a Supra than 6-spokes. :icon_bigg

I have yet to have a proper set of piston rings in this car.
It should be, there's no reason not to...
I'm really happy with how the gauges turned out, especially now that the cluster seems stock, but it's a compilation of a few different...
Well, the car is down again, it's STILL smoking, and it's likely due to bad rings (STILL!!) because of a problem with the rebuild. Hopefully, one day, it will be fixed....
It's smoking quite obviously, no leaks.
I did make a discovery though, talking to my mechanic, the car had a clogged intake right after the rebuild, and was running very rich for the first bit of its life. He said that since there was too much fuel, in all likelihood, the rings didn't seat...
