i have also had mine out for a while with no ill effects. i would plug the vaccum lines though. you can also get rid of the egr valve. it's just emmisions crap the car doesn't need.
did you say you don't want to be putting money into fixing an old car? well, the supra is a money pit. some in a bad way, some in a good way. i think the good far outway the bad though. good luck.
i have used centerforce in my last car, and currently have an exedy in my 88 turbo. i like them both but would rather have a centerforce again. it seemed to grab a bit better. both used for street and strip with no problems.
i used to work at an import car shop. we were a distributor for VIS. they have very good stuff. the parts that we had go through the shop were almost seamless, depending on how big it was, and fit perfect everytime.
welcome back. you sound alot like myself. i am 25, drive a midnight blue supra, am an ichi kyu in american and classical shudokan and live in Selah, which is just over the mountain. maybe we'll meet up this year at a meet or something. laterz
i've had my 88 turbo for two years and the oil pressure guage has never worked. but mine's not pegged upward. my temp guage did that once. it was just a bare portion of the wire touching a piece of metal causing the needle to read HOT, which scared the hell out of me until i got it figured out.
on my 88 turbo i have what looks like some kind of optical sensor or something on the passenger side of the dash board next to where the windshield meets the dash. any ideas? it's plastic and kind of a dark or reddish color. :icon_conf
