    The day has FINALLY come...

If i had another 2 grand I would have been interested, but I'd like to try my luck with an N/A first. If that goes well I'll have to upgrade eventually :evil2:

    The day has FINALLY come...

Thanks guys!! It's nice to hear some positives between going to work and hearing... "You just bought a 17 year old car!!! And how many miles does it have?!?! What's a Supra? Is that the fast and the furious car?" Some people just dont have a clue. :D

    The day has FINALLY come...

Really? Damn. 100 bucks. It'll have to wait. How exactly is the rear window wiper squirter supposed to be set up? I just have an elbow with nothing on the end. :(

    The day has FINALLY come...

Anywho.... Anyone know what exactly trips the door sensors to send the signa; that they are open or closed? My passenger side door is very sensitive. I.E. when I take a hard right, the warning indicators go off. I think the latch is worn, not holding the door tightly enough. But I'm hoping...

Under 27 or so I consider a kid. So I'll be a kid for another 6 years or so... :biglaugh: *Edit, and of course I'll do the bolts. I'll be checking torque specs on many, many bolts. :)

Yes, yes yes, ok fine. I guess I'll do the subframe bolts... :) I'll be doing a whole days worth of maintenance this weekend, hopefully getting to all this stuff and then some. I cleaned the windows, took 30 mins. They were awful. Changed taillights... 4 were out. Changed wipers, interior...

    The day has FINALLY come...

Holy shit.... I never thought I'd hear that from this kid. ;) Although I'm sure if it was pre-89, he'd be condemning the car to hell. :) Thanks for the compliment, or i guess the lack of a dis... :D

    The day has FINALLY come...

and I haven't even started to clean it yet... :evil2: No, one repaint a year ago. The paint looks great for the most part, but a few spots that chipped make the paint seem soft and weak. :dunno: I've noticed in the last day of driving that there's a lot of tranny whine in 2nd 3rd and...

    The day has FINALLY come...

Well the engine bay is what I was worried about... :) That should get cleaned tonight as well. Took the targa off and drove for about an hour today and HOLY cow what a difference it makes in the body's feel. Not nearly as solid, but very enjoyable. *edit another pic... MY HATCH STRUTS HOLD!!!!!!

    The day has FINALLY come...

Exactly what I thought. Drives excellent, at least as far as I can tell. I need to have CRE drive it and give me a Supra owner's opinion. I'm such a noob. :p

    The day has FINALLY come...

Seriously. If anyone can find a cleaner mkiii for less than 3 grand within 200 miles of me, please, by all means write me messages on how I misspent my money. I'd buy it and give you a finders fee of a few hundred bucks. You california kids are oh-so-pleasantly spoiled. Pics of it coming...

    The day has FINALLY come...

New(old) motor installed last fall (JDM) with all paperwork to prove, new headgasket installed at that time. I realize its a ton of miles, but with full service records, a newer motor with approx 50k on it total, I really don't think its a bad place to start. Only time will tell though...

    The day has FINALLY come...

Haha, well I'm happy MA7x is a part of my VIN. ;) I should be leaving to get it in an hour or two. Counting down the minutes...

    The day has FINALLY come...

Well i figure I'll get my foot in the door first with an N/A. If all goes as planned I'll have another or just swap in a GTE within a few years. But for now, I'm just happy I can say that MA70 is a part of my car's VIN number. :)

    The day has FINALLY come...

haha, yes I meant k representing thousand of miles. Sorry Duane. :) Ya, the car has some squeaks and rattles, but its certainly much, much more solid and quieter than the accord I've been driving. And jonathan the old sporty coupe is going to some other 20-something kid. I'm pretty much flat...

    The day has FINALLY come...

I'm purchasing a 1990 Supra today or early tomorrow morning. NA, 5spd, targa. All stock, JDM motor with 20K since swap, 271k on chassis. I couldn't be more excited to pick this beast up. Just thought I'd let you guys know that I will actually be able to contribute more than questions to the...

Deal, or no deal? Should I make this trade....?

Really? I love craftsman for basic hand tools, but their torque wrenches apparently have a very consistent problem with the locking nut coming loose. :dunno: The craftsman ones are 60 new. the mac tools are 275 FWIW.

Deal, or no deal? Should I make this trade....?

Haha, ya. Its a good time. Even now, as a 20 yr old its a blast. That thing gets up to ~25mph, which is actually rather slow, some can do 45+ no problem. Although 25 is plenty to brake steering servos, bodies, wheels, axles.... etc. Especially when trying to do flips and barrel rolls. lol...

Deal, or no deal? Should I make this trade....?

So I'm currently cleaning out my unneeded belongings and I'm selling my R/C car. The car is worth about 325 brand new with the stuff I have for it. I'm trying to sell for 150 and have gotten an offer of a Mac Tools torque wrench. Now I need a torque wrench and would love a good one...
