Glad you're in good spirits after a BHG. :) I'm sure I'll be pissed when it first happens to me, but I'd enjoy cleaning the hell out of everything and having the peace of mind, knowing the HG was replaced and done RIGHT.

Its cool to see such low mileage, but at the same time it's kind of sad. It means it really hasn't been used as much as it probably should have been. I'd LOVE to have one like that some day though...

I had same problem, it was the valve cover gaskets. Mine were 25 per gasket. :( Mine looked fine, but had leaks. I used some RTV black sealant and haven't had a problem since installing the new gaskets. Get some bolts to replace the most likely stripped screws in there too. M6, 1.00 thread...

Do our cars have heated mirrors? I was looking at my original window sticker and it says it has "ELECTRIC MIRRORS W/ DEFOGGERS". Do they have a heating coil behind the mirror? Is it activated by hitting the defrost button that does the rear window? I searched, but couldn't find any...

somewhere around 80-100k miles. Motor swap was done before I owned it at 220,000 miles. I'm now at 273k m. So figure an average of 30-50k on a JDM engine and I'm at about 100k. Head gasket repaired @ 253,000.

Mine is currently leaking through the rear wiper arm hole. Needs a new gasket or some rtv.

omg... I dont want to argue. I've never called a cop a pig. I've never gotten a ticket. When I've been pulled over, I was respectful and courteous and those actions were returned to me by the officers on all occasions. Cop gives me a ticket for doing 65 in a 60.... I'd be inclined to call him...
