Taking care of the Valve Covers and there leaking issue's?

Huh? You could certainly snap the ears, but you'd be tightening it way, way too tight at that point. Probably combined with not using the rubber grommets. You can definitely warp the covers over time if a few bolts are too tight. Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk

Taking care of the Valve Covers and there leaking issue's?

Holy hell, you guys are getting SCREWED. My local dealers are always within ~10-20% of Champion. If not, I'll call them on it and they've always met me in the middle. You guys are getting charged a HUGE add on profit for your local dealer above the standard Toyota pricing if it's really that...

    HID Bulbs & Headlight Housing

I may be interested, but can't make any promises. I definitely want to upgrade, but I may have to settle for the Hella H4 Halogen set-up. Either way, I'll be keeping tabs on your progress. :)

Taking care of the Valve Covers and there leaking issue's?

Be careful not to tighten them too tight. They came as screw from Toyota because it shouldn't have much torque at all. The screws are designed to NOT allow you to tighten it much. The bolts look and function much better, you just need to show restraint. It's tempting to clamp em down hard, but...

3 Mishi Radiators in a year, all failed the same way; fan blade impact (anyone else?)

Taking care of the Valve Covers and there leaking issue's?

Why wouldn't you get a brand new #3 gasket from Toyota for $50? Looks Damn sexy and clean. Not to mention it keeps the top of the head looking brand new, both above the gasket and below... Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk

    My SAD 7m story

He's talking about the rest of the car. You can have all the $$$ in the world and buy all the best parts, but a simple bad tps, iacv, throttle body, etc... Could make it all worthless. You really need to diagnose your issues yourself and stop blindly throwing money at it based off random...

    3" exhaust for under $250.00

Looks relatively clean. I imagine you'll have some noticeable drone though with no resonator. Not a big deal for a non-daily, but driving 60 miles a day in that might get old. :P Though I spent just under triple that for my Raptor Racing set up. So I guess it's all relative.

A supra with a hint of style..

I know what you mean. I'm relatively new and young and I feel like an old person already cuz I keep seeing stupid "kids" ruining cars to fit the latest fad.

    My SAD 7m story

The prerequisite for owning a Surpa is knowing how to do things yourself. IMO, if you have to rely on a shop or tuner do get your car running, then you've outspent yourself. Only install what you know and what you know how to install/tune/diagnose. It doesn't sound like anyone is really to...

    Mishimoto Radiator Question

One thing I did actually have a problem with: the hose inlet and outlets are slightly smaller than stock Toyota. I had to use an extra clamp on mine. If you have new radiator hoses, you might be fine. My hoses are older and needed some extra clamping force. If I recall correctly when I measured...

    Mishimoto Radiator Question

My mishimoto fit like a glove. Fan shroud, stock fan, aux fans, top mounts, bottom mounts, everything. Do not use their cap. You will put your hoses and unions all under more pressure for basically nothing. Use a stock Toyota one. All in all, I'm incredibly satisfied with mine. $250 for a...

    is this really worth it?

Only another 60-70 bucks for Aaron's at driftmotion. And his has neat flashy colors! Haha. Definitely worth it to get the real deal from him. Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk

Overheating Problems Continue - I'm out of ideas.

Ok, now that I'm home I'll add a couple more things. :) Makes sense with the turbo purchase. It just seems to happen a lot around here where somebody's dreams get way ahead of themselves and all of a sudden they've got half the mods to support 600hp with an engine that'll be lucky to live...

The Fruition of Obsession -- 310,000 mile makeover --

The one thing I wish I could change on mine is to add a stagger. I planned on 8 front 9 rear, but settled for 8 all around. I can break the rears loose on only 9-10 lbs in second from roll if the road anything perfectly dry and smooth. When the tires are up for replacement, ill get some beefier...

Overheating Problems Continue - I'm out of ideas.

So many things to say... First off, as a mechanical engineer myself, I would love to see the rationale behind devins thermostat-less ideology. The thermostat is in charge of maintaining the correct engine temp. Without one, the engine could run too hot or too cold. If the radiator is too...

The Fruition of Obsession -- 310,000 mile makeover --

Yeah, I never expected to find them so cheap and was bummed to see them discontinued. Keep an eye on Craig's! :) Just remove the needles, polish off old, faded yellow paint on bottom side, repaint red. :) Check my Sig thread on lighting. Lots of info in there. Sent from my ADR6400L using...

    Mikes 7MGE-T engine build

Nice build. I envy how clean you got everything! :) Are you keeping the oil filter down at the tow hook? You might want to move it to a slightly less exposed place. I'd be scared of that thing getting a even a small rock through the filter case.... and then BAM, you're out another $2500 for...
